My finished piece of packaging - Happigreens Vegetable Snack Pack.

Vegetable packaging targeted towards young kids in hopes that they'll start eating healthy and not get fat, hehe.

The kids are lured in by way of a reward system: finish all the veggies to reveal a surprise collectable card that you can then take-out and keep (see this in action in my Rationale).

I constructed this piece (with the help of my dad -- I find it funny I'm a university student and still need dad to help me with homework :P) using mostly tupperware, stanly knives (eek - cutting into hard plastic-- scary!), sand paper, glue, sticky tape, acetate, etc. It looks professional, but it's really not. It's just a mock up to give you a general idea.

That said, I WOULD have gotten it professionally vaccum-formed using the university's workshop, but SOMEONE kept putting it off and putting it off and breaking his word and being downright insensitive towards a student's needs, that in the end I chose to make it on my own.

For a more in depth look at things, see my Rationale.

The logo and graphics look nice (maybe they could have covered a little more of the packaging area). The cards are a cute idea, and would probably motivate kids pretty well to finish their vegies. I can imagine liking this when I was a little kid.

That said though, if I had kids, there's no way I would buy something like this. It looks like a wasteful amount of plastic for a just a handful of vegies.

whoa excelent work here. It really looks as if it was vacuum-formed, so professional even though you did it by hand. And the idea is just awesome; its sad to see how little kids have obessity troubles these days. If this was for sale, I'd buy one :D lol

that's impressive, how well built that is considering that you made it by hand.

not to mention utterly adorable.

I entered it into a packaging competition as welll. So that in itself ensures I get at least a participation certificate :P

Hmmm...
It's no shame to have your Dad help you make something that awesome.
It'd be a worry if it used a lot of elbow macceroni and sparkle glitter!
